Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing Support
Location: Goshen/Warsaw, Indiana area — Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Five Star Recruiting is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative for an established manufacturing company in the Warsaw/Goshen IN area. This position supports customers and dealers throughout the ordering process, from initial order entry through invoicing and delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with technical product information, and experienced in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
What You’ll Do
- Process customer and dealer orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage orders received through e-commerce and other ordering systems
- Respond to incoming calls regarding order status, availability, shipping, and related questions
- Provide basic product and technical support, escalating more complex questions when appropriate
- Review orders and invoices to verify quantities, pricing, and billing accuracy
- Research and resolve shortages, backorders, discrepancies, and customer concerns
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure orders are completed correctly and on time
- Maintain accurate customer and order information within ERP and CRM systems
- Prepare reports, review departmental data, and recommend process improvements
- Cross-train with other team members to provide additional departmental support
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least two years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with order entry, invoicing, logistics, or sales support
- Familiarity with bills of materials is strongly preferred
- Strong data-entry skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience using ERP or CRM systems is preferred
- Ability to review and manage large amounts of information accurately
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
Schedule and Work Environment
- Monday through Friday
- Eight- to nine-hour shift scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Approximately 40–45 hours per week, with occasional overtime
- Primarily an office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing areas or customer/dealer locations
- Limited travel
