Responsibilities
- Manage daily center operations, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance with state and local regulations.
- Lead and motivate a team of teachers, caregivers, and support staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support childhood development milestones for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining rigorous health protocols, first aid readiness, and emergency procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with families through regular communication, updates on child progress, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Oversee classroom management strategies to promote a nurturing environment that encourages learning through play.
- Coordinate ongoing staff training in areas such as behavior management, special education techniques, infant care, and classroom experience best practices.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities.
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; familiarity with classroom management techniques.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging families and collaborating with staff members.
- Proven ability to implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
