Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Daycare Director to oversee daily operations at our childcare facility. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, ensuring classroom management and effective teaching practices.
- Oversee daily operations, including enrollment, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with licensing requirements.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by implementing health protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Coordinate staff training on topics such as special education needs, behavior management, and caregiving techniques.
- Foster positive relationships with parents through regular communication regarding children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom environments to promote inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs.
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and developmental assessments.
- Lead efforts in creating an engaging and nurturing environment that supports childhood development across all age groups.
- Ensure the facility adheres to all state and local regulations regarding childcare services.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or early childhood education programs.
- Strong background in classroom management and curriculum development for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers.
- Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early childhood education.
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing training in behavior management or special education is a plus.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare setting is preferred to effectively manage staff and operations.
