Union Payroll Administrator
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 annually

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Union Payroll Administrator to join a growing payroll team and play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for union employees across multiple projects and locations.
Position Summary
The Union Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate processing of weekly union payroll, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with union agreements and payroll regulations, and responding to employee payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will have prior experience processing union payroll within the construction industry and possess a strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for union, hourly, and salaried employees.
- Enter timesheets, payroll adjustments, corrections, and other payroll-related data into the payroll system.
- Review payroll information for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies, union agreements, and internal controls.
- Process final paychecks and termination payments in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll documentation.
- Manage union payroll reporting, including union dues, fringe benefits, and related deductions.
- Verify employee pay rates, deductions, and benefit allocations.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with payroll audits and support compliance initiatives.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.
- Prior union payroll experience within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with multi-state union reporting, including fringe benefit and union dues payments.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred
- Experience with JDE (JD Edwards) accounting software.
- Knowledge of SOX controls and compliance requirements.
- Additional construction industry payroll experience.

Work Schedule
This position is fully onsite. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in an optional summer schedule from Memorial Day through Labor Day, working four 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and a shortened 4-hour workday on Fridays.
