Staff Accountant
Hybrid | 3 days onsite / 2 remote
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

Position Overview
Reporting to finance leadership, the Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities across multiple business units. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, team-oriented, detail-focused, and not afraid to ask questions while learning.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support cash, accrual, prepaid, and payroll accounting activities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist with variance analysis and account fluctuation reviews
- Prepare internal reports and schedules for management
- Support ad hoc financial analysis projects
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account activity
Process Improvement & Systems Support
- Help improve accounting workflows and reporting processes
- Support ERP and financial system enhancements
- Maintain organized documentation of accounting procedures
Audit & Compliance
- Assist with year-end audit requests and supporting schedules
- Follow internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
Collaboration & Growth
- Cross-train with teammates and support peers when needed
- Build strong working relationships with other departments
- Take on additional responsibilities as skills and experience grow
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- 1 years of accounting experience
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
