Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing manufacturing organization. This role will be heavily focused on month-end closing, budgeting, financial reporting, and audit leadership while supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to drive process improvements. This position offers a clear path to grow into an Accounting Manager role for candidates interested in expanding their leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilitie

• sLead the month-end and year-end close process, including financial statement preparation and analysis
• .Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including account reconciliation and variance analysis
• .Assist in budget preparation and monitor performance against budget
• .Lead and support internal and external audit activities
• .Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the department
• .Oversee invoicing, collections, and daily statistical reporting
• .Support manufacturing operations through the design and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
• .Complete government surveys and regulatory reporting as required
• .Identify and implement process improvements across accounting functions
• .Perform additional accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed

.Requirement

• sBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• .5 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing industry and cost accounting experience preferred
• .Strong understanding of general ledger, financial reporting, and close processes
• .Prior supervisory experience preferred
• .Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with Sage 100 and Ceridian a plus
• .Crystal Reporting experience a plus
• .CPA, CMA, MBA, or prior public accounting experience a plus
