Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering and improving human resources programs that support organizational goals. This role provides expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, HR compliance, HR policy development, and payroll. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple HR initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Manage employee relations issues, conduct workplace investigations, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Administer compensation, benefits, leave programs, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
- Process payroll for 200 employees, including employee changes, audits, payroll reconciliations, and payroll-related inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Develop and deliver employee training programs, including orientation and professional development.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist with workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to promote employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR operations and employee experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive human resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is preferred.
