Buyer/Planner
Are you a supply chain professional who enjoys balancing procurement strategy, inventory planning, and supplier relationship management? We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to play a critical role in ensuring the timely procurement of materials and components that support production and business growth.
In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, and suppliers to manage inventory levels, optimize purchasing processes, and drive supply chain efficiency. What You'll Do:
- Manage purchasing and planning activities for a variety of components, including metal, plastic, PCBA, sub-assemblies, and turnkey products.
- Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate purchasing terms, and monitor vendor performance.
- Coordinate delivery schedules, expedite critical orders, and proactively address supply chain challenges.
- Obtain competitive pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings, improved quality, and enhanced supplier performance.
- Analyze demand trends and inventory requirements to support forecasting and procurement strategies.
- Maintain purchasing data, supplier records, lead times, and blanket purchase agreements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help drive efficiencies across procurement and supply chain operations.
- Support quality and compliance initiatives in accordance with ISO 13485 and applicable industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory planning, or materials management.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated team player who can work independently while collaborating across departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience working with ERP or purchasing systems is a plus.
