What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Associate position at firstPRO 360?
firstPRO 360 is seeking an experienced Tax Associate for an immediate opportunity in the Metro Atlanta area. This individual will be responsible for the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for businesses, identifying problem areas and solutions related to tax, analysis of financials, along with other related accounting skills. Experience with QuickBooks, CCH Axcess/Pro System, or other tax software is required.
Job Duties:
- Preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and other types of tax returns
- Preparation and review of income tax projections that involve multiple scenarios and complex analysis
- Identify potential tax problem areas and propose solutions to management team
- Receive, review, and resolve federal and state income tax controversy and inquiries
- Identify opportunities to offer additional service solutions to existing clients
- Serve as a technical resource to lesser experienced Tax team members
- Research tax issues affecting the client and document conclusions and recommendations
- Assist with other tax projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years recent tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel, QuickBooks, CCH Axcess/Pro System, UltraTax or similar system is required.
- Self-motivated and able to produce results with little direction
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be flexible on schedule and requirements of the job
