Supplier Quality Engineer
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the quality of materials and services provided by external suppliers through development, auditing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier quality plans, procedures, and agreements
- Conduct supplier audits and manage PPAPs, APQP, and incoming inspection
- Lead issue resolution, corrective actions (8D), and supplier performance improvement
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive cost recovery opportunities
- Collaborate with Procurement and internal teams on supplier development
- Prepare clear presentations and reports for management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, preferably in Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D
- Green Belt certified (Black Belt preferred); AS9100 Auditor experience a plus
- Advanced MS Excel and Office skills
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, project management, and interpersonal skills
ITAR Requirement: Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee).
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
