Overview
We are seeking a caring and energetic Male Caregiver to join our team on a part-time basis in. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing personalized care and support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a positive and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
- Administer medications and manage medical documentation accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, ensuring safety and comfort
- Perform vital signs checks, catheter care, and basic first aid as needed
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to promote a safe living environment
- Follow home healthcare regulations and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts if necessary
- Certification in CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and hospice or end-of-life care is desirable
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for community-based care
