Role Overview:
As a Home Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate assistance to clients in their daily activities, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and engaged. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to establish meaningful relationships built on trust and respect, while supporting clients to maintain their independence at home. Whether you work Full Time or Part Time, you’ll have the flexibility to create a schedule that works for you and your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and mobility.
- Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, focusing on their needs and preferences.
- Document client care and report any changes in their health or behavior to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
- Experience in caregiver roles or related fields is preferred but not required.
Bonus If You:
- Have certifications such as CNA or Home Health Aide.
- Have previous experience in elderly care or companionship roles.
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with availability required from Monday through Sunday.
