Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Caregiver to join our team in,. This part-time position offers weekday morning hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing vital support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and creating a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Use proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including Hoyer lifts when applicable
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and personal hygiene assistance
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and engagement
Experience
- Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home or community care settings
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, or hospice support preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, and basic first aid/CPR certification required
- Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities beneficial
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and accurately document patient observations and progress
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with family members or healthcare teams
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts, and manual handling tasks
