We are seeking a passionate and energetic full-time Caregiver to join our team in Winchester, VA. This vital role involves providing personalized care and support to clients with various needs, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and engaged. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
- Support with medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Help clients with transfers using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress notes
- Provide transportation for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote social engagement
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to observe patients closely and monitor vital signs accurately
- Experience assisting with ADLs and using patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications in healthcare or caregiving are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
