POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Controls Installer to join the fast-growing FirstCall team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem- solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install HVAC control systems, including control panels, sensors, thermostats, actuators, and associated low-voltage wiring
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, and control schematics
- Mount and terminate control devices and field equipment in accordance with project drawings and company standards
- Assist with startup and checkout of building automation systems
- Troubleshoot installation issues and communicate findings to project teams
- Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and customer requirements
- Coordinate with electricians, mechanical contractors, and other trades on job sites
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and project progress
- Support commissioning activities and system testing as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on all job sites

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the controls director, and has a responsibility to the entire controls team and all of our customers.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience in HVAC controls, electrical installation, BAS/BMS systems, or commercial HVAC preferred
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and low-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Experience with building automation systems such as Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, Siemens, or Distech
- OSHA certification or safety training
- Experience working on commercial construction or retrofit projects

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms.
