Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable
- Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with courteous and clear communication
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced food service environment
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest interactions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel environments is highly desirable
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of guest services, serving procedures, and hospitality standards
