About the Role
We are seeking experienced Operating Room Nurses to join our accredited ambulatory surgery centers. This position is ideal for RNs who want a fast‑paced surgical environment without nights, weekends, or holidays.
The OR Nurse provides safe, high‑quality perioperative care for patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures and collaborates closely with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process
- Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operative procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative experience
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff
- Respond appropriately to urgent or emergent situations
- Uphold all center policies, protocols, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in Delaware or Compact State
- Current BCLS Certification
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain accuracy
- Ability to provide physically demanding patient care and support patients in altered states of consciousness
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and respect for patient diversity
Preferred Experience
- Orthopaedic Operating Room experience strongly preferred
- Training program may be available for experienced RNs with prior ambulatory surgery center experience
Schedule & Work Environment
