Job Summary
We are seeking responsible people to care for children in the church nursery.
Responsibilities
- Care for children ages birth - six years old
- Work together with other staff to maintain a safe environment for children
- Entertain children by playing games, coloring, assisting teachers with Sunday School classes, caring for infants (feeding, changing, etc.)
- Perform light cleaning duties like wiping down tables, sanitizing surfaces and toys
- Change diapers or help children with toileting needs
- Monitor and maintain awareness of the nursery environment and surrounding area
- Respond promptly to calls for assistance
- Ensure that the classroom/nursery is clean and organized at the end of service time
Requirements
- Previous experience with children, like babysitting, summer camps, school settings
- High school diploma
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
