Job Description:
First Priority Group is seeking an experienced Body Technician with advanced skills in body plastic repair, dent repair, and all aspects of collision and body restoration. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in repairing, restoring, and preparing vehicle bodies to OEM and industry standards. Aluminum welding experience is a plus, but not required. This position will play a key role in our upcoming transition to our new 75,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art production facility in Lakewood, New Jersey, offering the opportunity to be part of an exciting period of growth and expansion for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced body repairs, including dent removal, panel repair, body plastic repair and structural body restoration.
- Repair, replace and align damaged body panels, doors, hoods, fenders, and related components.
- Conduct metal finishing, filling, sanding and surface preparation for paint operations.
- Diagnose vehicle body damage and determine the most effective repair procedures.
- Perform collision repairs while maintaining manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools and body repair equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of emergency and specialty vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Skill Level and Experience:
- 5 years of professional body repair or collision repair experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of body plastic repair, dent repair, panel replacement, and structural repairs.
- Proficient in all aspects of automotive and truck body repair.
- Experience working with aluminum body components is preferred.
- Aluminum welding experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read repair orders and follow manufacturer repair procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required.
