Job Title: Environmental Coordinator (ES&H)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Coordinator to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) programs. This role blends both field and administrative responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on environmental compliance, workplace safety, and sustainable project execution.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices—helping create safer environments for employees and surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of ES&H programs, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments
- Assist in developing and maintaining environmental and safety initiatives that protect employees, communities, and the environment
- Maintain ES&H databases, including incident tracking, audit findings, and corrective actions
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Coordinate and support specialized ES&H software systems and tools
- Conduct and support risk assessments, environmental studies, and mitigation planning for moderately complex issues
- Prepare reports, communications, and documentation for compliance and recordkeeping
- Assist with incident notification, investigation, and reporting processes
- Recommend improvements to processes and work practices to minimize hazards
- Support employee training programs, emergency preparedness efforts, and quality assurance initiatives
- Coordinate ES&H recognition and engagement programs
- Provide ongoing support to both field and office ES&H personnel across disciplines
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field OR
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates encouraged)
- Equivalent combination of education and 5–6 years of relevant work experience will also be considered
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of environmental management principles, monitoring programs, and methodologies
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes
- Familiarity with engineering, construction, and subcontracting workflows
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and organizational requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field locations as needed
