Vice President, Credit Administration

About the Position:

As the Vice President, Credit Administration you will be responsible for the independent evaluation and approval of commercial credit relationships while ensuring alignment with the Bank's credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. You will partner with lending teams to support portfolio growth through sound credit decision-making, risk management, and consistent underwriting practices, with an emphasis on Commercial Real Estate and other complex commercial lending transactions.

What You Will Do:

• Independently evaluate and approve commercial credit requests within assigned authority, ensuring credit decisions are well-supported, appropriately structured, and aligned with the Bank's credit policies and risk appetite.
• Provide senior-level credit oversight for Commercial Real Estate and other complex commercial lending relationships, including assessment of borrower strength, collateral support, repayment capacity, market conditions, and overall transaction risk.
• Partner with lending, portfolio management, and credit teams to structure sound credit solutions that support responsible business growth while maintaining prudent risk management standards.
• Support consistent application of credit policy, underwriting standards, approval practices, risk rating methodology, and exception management across the commercial loan portfolio.
• Monitor credit quality trends, economic conditions, industry developments, and regulatory expectations to inform credit decisions and identify emerging portfolio risks.
• Serve as a credit resource and trusted advisor to lending personnel by providing guidance, coaching, and challenge on credit analysis, transaction structure, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of Credit Administration and the Bank's broader risk management objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

• A minimum of ten years commercial credit underwriting experience.
• 4-year college degree in accounting or financial-related area.
• Consideration will also be given to candidate who has prior sales experience in this field but prefers the administrative and more technical aspect of the finance field.
• Must be confident in credit decision skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in working with banking/finance professionals.
• The ability to find compromise while protecting the banks best interests are key.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting and finance, bank regulation, loan policy are extremely important.
• Strong work ethic and responsive nature are key.
• Must be flexible and be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment. On occasion, working extended hours in or out of the office is required.

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
