First Class Learning Academy is looking for a loving and energetic team member to join our growing staff. This individual will help provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our early learning program. The role supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of each child while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Position Summary
The Childcare Worker is responsible for supervising and engaging with children in a daycare or early childhood setting. This role includes planning activities, supporting daily routines, and creating a positive learning environment where children can grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
- Plan and lead age-appropriate learning and play activities
- Support daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Encourage positive behavior and social-emotional development
- Communicate effectively with parents and families about daily progress
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
- Work collaboratively with other staff members
- Document observations, incidents, and daily reports as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous childcare experience preferred (but not required for entry-level candidates)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, caring, and energetic personality
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass background check and meet state childcare requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, sitting on the floor, and active movement
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
