Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and waste disposal areas regularly to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Operate cleaning machinery efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools.
• Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep to uphold building standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance from staff or visitors.

Requirements

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the use of various cleaning equipment.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely with an understanding of chemical handling safety procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and facility users.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
