Role Description
The Quality Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Mooresville, NC, responsible for overseeing daily quality operations on the production floor. This role leads a team of quality inspectors, assigns priorities, and monitors workflow to ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements. The Quality Team Lead performs in-process and final inspections, reviews test data, and investigates nonconformances or customer complaints. This position supports root cause analysis, implements corrective and preventive actions, and maintains quality documentation and records.
The role also partners closely with production and management to drive continuous improvement, support audits, train team members on quality procedures, and reinforce safety and compliance practices.
Qualifications
• Strong quality foundations, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills to monitor, inspect, and verify product and process conformity.
• Experience in Quality Auditing and Quality Management to maintain standards, support internal and external audits, and improve quality systems.
• Proficient Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with the ability to coach, mentor, and coordinate a team.
• Familiarity with relevant quality tools and methods (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, CAPA) and basic knowledge of ISO or similar standards.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and document findings clearly.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Experience in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with production processes, measurement tools, and quality inspection equipment is highly beneficial.
