What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Firman Solutions?
The Electrical Designer Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and modification of technical drawings, as well as system design and component selection for projects assigned by the department manager at our Longmont, CO facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop and design schematics for both standard and new machines in a timely manner to meet BluePrint and customer specifications and quality.
- Perform various required analysis of designs, such as heat load, and SCCR calculations.
- Create and modify Parts, Jobs, and BOMs in Kinetics (ERP), setup jobs in CADLink, and perform other department related tasks using Kinetics or other company systems.
- Maintains a safe working environment that is within the safety standards.
- Periodic travel up to 25% may be required.
Basic Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities, Education & Experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of UL, NEC and NFPA 79 required.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Intermediate proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical required.
- Detailed knowledge of electrical components and their function is required.
- Highly developed customer orientation.
