Job Overview

A Firehouse Subs Crew Member prepares food, operates the cash register, ensures a positive guest experience through exceptional customer service, and maintains restaurant cleanliness to meet Firehouse Subs standards in a fast-paced environment. Key duties include order taking, sandwich preparation, cash handling, maintaining a sanitary workspace, adhering to safety guidelines, and participating in fundraising efforts. Strong communication, a friendly attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team are crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet customers with a smile, provide an exceptional dining experience, handle questions and concerns, and process orders accurately.
• Food Preparation: Prepare sandwiches and other food items according to Firehouse Subs standards and recipes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Cashier Duties: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and cash register, handle cash transactions securely, and process payments accurately.
• Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by cleaning the store, merchandise, and physical plant.
• Safety & Standards: Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and security guidelines, and operate food preparation machinery safely.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other Team Members and leadership to ensure smooth and efficient operations, fostering a positive work environment.
• Fundraising: Participate in fundraising initiatives for the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

Skills and Qualifications

• Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to build relationships with guests.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Menu Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and master Firehouse Subs menu and product knowledge.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for using the register and POS system.

• Fast-Paced: The role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, especially during peak meal times.

• Active Role: This is a hands-on position requiring constant engagement with customers and tasks, with no late hours, dirty grills, or fryers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
