Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their needs.
• Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
• Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
• Support sales efforts by promoting products and upselling when appropriate.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the grocery store or retail environment.
• Perform basic culinary tasks as needed, including food preparation and assembly.
• Utilize POS systems effectively for order processing and inventory management.

Skills

• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
• Experience with cash handling and retail math skills is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices related to food handling is essential.
• Basic culinary skills are advantageous for assisting in food preparation tasks.
