The Role
We're looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to own projects from kickoff to closeout. You'll be the point person on job execution — coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors, tracking budgets, and making sure every job gets done right. What You'll Be Doing
- Manage fire sprinkler projects end-to-end across commercial and residential scopes — new installations, repairs, and tenant improvements
- Conduct job walks to assess scope and support estimating
- Verify labor hours, materials, change orders and subcontractor invoices
- Explain cost impacts clearly to clients when scope of work changes
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, and field crews to keep projects on schedule
- Track job costs, schedules, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Pull materials from existing stock, order materials from vendors, coordinate delivery to job sites and update existing stock
- Give estimates of material/labor costs for each project when consulting with clients
- Troubleshot field issues quickly on the fly
- Ensure all work meets applicable fire codes and inspection requirements
- Communicate project status, issues, and updates to stakeholders proactively
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler project management or a closely related field
- Hands-on knowledge of both commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems
- Experience with installations, repairs, tenant improvement projects and ITM (Inspection, Testing, Maintenance)
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Comfortable performing job walks and contributing to the estimating process
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active projects
- Working knowledge of applicable NFPA codes and local fire authority requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company truck provided)
- Familiarity with the review process for plans and permits throughout California
- Be able to maintain a calm, professional attitude when confronted with difficulities
