Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Catering Sales Manager located in Indianapolis, IN. The Catering Sales Manager will identify potential clients, establish and maintain relationships with event planners, and drive sales for catering services. Daily responsibilities include organizing event details, preparing proposals, following up on leads, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events. The role also involves overseeing client contracts, managing event budgets, and delivering excellent customer service at all stages of the sales and event lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Sales and customer relationship skills, with experience in client acquisition and retention
- Event planning, catering coordination, and organizational skills
- Strong communication, proposal drafting, and negotiation skills
- Hospitality industry knowledge and familiarity with event management software
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities under tight timelines
- Ability to manage budgets and meet revenue goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- 2 years of experience in catering sales or a related field preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
