This is an exciting opportunity to join an established organisation delivering specialist pipeline inspection, leak detection, valve maintenance and water audit services to major UK water utilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting leakage reduction programmes by analysing data, identifying opportunities and helping operational teams improve performance across the network.
The Role
As a Leakage Data Analyst, you will use data analysis and insight to support the delivery of leakage reduction activities. Working closely with operational teams, supervisors and clients, you will help identify leakage opportunities, improve field activity targeting and provide valuable performance insights to support continuous improvement.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and using analytical skills to make a direct impact on operational efficiency and water network performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse network and operational data to identify leakage opportunities and support targeted field investigations.
- Develop and optimise tactical plans for District Metered Area (DMA) campaigns using a continuous improvement approach.
- Identify points of interest for suspected leakage and unaccounted-for water investigations.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide analysis against contractual KPIs.
- Track repair Service Level Agreements (SLAs), operational compliance and leakage resolution timescales.
- Support the planning and analysis of lift-and-shift logger programmes.
- Coordinate in-pipe camera survey activities and maintain accurate records of findings.
- Maintain detailed records of campaign activity, outcomes and improvement opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to operational teams and management.
- Attend campaign planning and review meetings with Leakage Optimisation Teams.
- Support client meetings by providing updates on campaign performance and progress.
- Identify and escalate operational issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure operational data and campaign results are recorded accurately and consistently.
- Maintain audit trails to support contract delivery, reporting and performance reviews.
- Support the Leakage Programme Lead with reporting, analysis and performance metrics.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in data analysis, reporting and data manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Experience working with operational teams, ideally within a field-based environment.
- Knowledge of water networks, leakage management or utilities operations (desirable).
- Understanding of District Metered Areas (DMAs), leakage detection methods or unaccounted-for water investigations (desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience using data management systems or operational reporting platforms.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams.
