π° Pay Rate: $28β$32/hr (W2)
β οΈ Note: Must be local to Southwest Atlanta area (no relocation)
π Key Responsibilities - Materials Planner
- Analyze, plan, and purchase component parts for service repair manufacturing
- Perform price analysis, cost control, and supplier negotiations
- Manage purchase orders, long-term contracts, and supplier delivery performance
- Support forecasting, demand planning, and materials strategy execution
- Lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams for repair/remanufacturing initiatives
Planning & Procurement
- Plan and procure materials based on usage trends and forecasted demand
- Maintain inventory levels within budgeted targets
- Develop short-term forecasts considering market and economic conditions
- Create purchasing strategies and objectives based on forecast data
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Work closely with suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency and performance
- Evaluate supplier performance using rating systems
- Resolve quality issues, delivery delays, and contract discrepancies
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms
Purchase Order Management
- Draft, review, and manage purchase orders (POs)
- Ensure compliance with policies, pricing, and authorization standards
- Handle PO modifications, cancellations, and rescheduling as needed
- Monitor part numbers, pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams on shipments, returns, and field issues
- Manage material shipment, routing, and inbound tracking
- Support weekly customer meetings with PO status updates
- Provide backup support to other materials team members
Inventory & Materials Management
- Control material storage and distribution
- Manage obsolete inventory and scrap reduction
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies (root cause analysis)
- Ensure materials are delivered to the correct departments
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
- Implement cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives
- Maintain records for contracts, suppliers, pricing, and specifications
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics
Financial & Administrative Support
- Assist in service department budgeting
- Resolve supplier payment issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
β Qualifications
- Associate degree (AS/AA) preferred (relevant experience considered)
- Experience in materials planning, supply chain, or procurement
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage supplier relationships
