Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd Shift

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead evening distribution center operations and oversee a team of warehouse associates in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and shipping activities while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership, develop team members, and ensure service, quality, and productivity goals are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates to meet productivity, quality, safety, and operational goals.
• Supervise daily 2nd shift receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution activities.
• Plan, assign, and direct work through warehouse leads and frontline team members.
• Monitor operational KPIs and communicate performance updates to leadership.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and ERP system reconciliation.
• Coordinate warehouse layout changes, equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and overall facility readiness.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service standards.
• Partner with customer service, suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to support timely order fulfillment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow optimization, efficiency gains, and technology adoption.
• Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety procedures, training requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support warehouse security protocols and assist with emergency response efforts when needed.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to warehousing, material handling, and shipping.
• Support ISO 9001 quality standards and organizational quality objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Transportation, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience managing shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, import/export regulations, and logistics procedures.
• Experience working within large-scale ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop employees, manage performance, and foster positive employee relations.
• Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization.
• APICS and DOT HAZMAT certifications, or willingness to obtain required certifications.
• Ability to work effectively in both warehouse and office environments and support the demands of a 2nd shift operation.
