Position: Title Examiner

Location: Charleston, SC

Employment Type: Full-time - in office

💼 Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of property titles, public records, and legal documents
• Identify and resolve title defects, liens, encumbrances, and other issues
• Prepare clear and concise title opinions and summaries
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, underwriters, and closing teams
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with state-specific real estate regulations
• Assist with curative matters when needed

📝 Requirements

• Previous experience as a Title Examiner within a law firm, title company, or real estate organization
• Strong understanding of property records, legal descriptions, and chain-of-title research
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency in title software and online recording systems (e.g., Simplifile, DataTrace, etc.)
