Human Resources Assistant

A growing organization in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a HR Assistant to support recruiting operations, candidate engagement, and hiring coordination. This fully onsite role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys creating a seamless candidate experience and partnering with recruiters and hiring managers.

This person will begin temporary but there is a possibility of a long-term need after several months as well.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, and hiring logistics.
• Support high-volume recruiting and help move candidates through the hiring process efficiently.
• Maintain candidate records and updates within the ATS.
• Manage pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screens, references, and onboarding support.
• Monitor candidate progress and ensure timely follow-up throughout the hiring process.
• Prepare recruiting reports and assist with process improvement initiatives.
• Deliver a professional and positive candidate experience while representing the employer brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition, HR, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional presence and strong customer service mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
• Fully onsite in Spartanburg, SC

Compensation & Benefits

• $20-24/hour, depending on experience
