A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to lead and strengthen environmental, health, and safety initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting environmental management systems, driving safety initiatives, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. The position will play a key role in evaluating existing programs, improving processes, maintaining documentation, and partnering with leadership to foster a safe and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental policies, programs, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Manage and support the facility's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Maintain all required regulatory records, reporting, permits, and documentation.
- Monitor changes in environmental and safety regulations and recommend necessary actions.
- Coordinate and deliver employee safety and environmental training programs.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Support chemical management, hazardous materials programs, fire prevention systems, and waste management processes.
- Lead environmental and safety improvement initiatives across the facility.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental stewardship.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Environmental, health, and safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting environmental programs in an industrial setting.
- Experience administering or supporting ISO 14001 programs.
- Strong documentation, regulatory reporting, and compliance management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
