What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Accountant position at Find Great People | FGP?
We are seeking a professional Entry Level Accountant to join a growing team in Columbia, SC. This is a full time, permanent, direct hire position with full benefits. This role can be done 100% remote! The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of general accounting experience, and strong expereince with AP and Financial Statements.
Job Description:
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment runs accurately and on time
- Review and reconcile vendor statements; resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
- Maintain organized and complete documentation for audits and internal reviews
- Work closely with other finance team members to support reporting and analysis
- Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field (Preferred but not required)
- 1-2 years of general accounting experience
- Excellent team player attitude
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel (Preferred)

Compensation, Benefits, & Additional Information:
- $60,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Qualifications and Experience)

- Can be 100% REMOTE (Work From Home) if preferred – MUST reside in the State of South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia and be within driving distance to Columbia South Carolina for occasional onsite meetings
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
