Sr Paint Line Lead Job Summary:
The Senior Lead supports daily production operations while serving as the primary backup to the department supervisor. This role is responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards, leading the production team, and ensuring a smooth production workflow. In the absence of the Supervisor, the Senior Lead assumes full supervisory responsibilities, including decision-making, team oversight, and problem resolution.
Primary Leadership & Production Oversight
- Assist the Supervisor in managing daily production operations, ensuring productivity goals are met.
- Act as a Supervisor in their absence, handling escalations, shift management, and operational decision-making.
- Monitor workflow, adjust staffing as needed, and ensure production schedules are met efficiently.
- Lead shift meetings, communicate company and department updates, and proactively address team concerns.
Team Development & Performance Management
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical support to team members, reinforcing safety and quality standards.
- Support hiring, training, and ongoing development of employees to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Assist in performance evaluations, attendance tracking, and corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment, addressing concerns and promoting teamwork.
Sr Paint Line LeadExperience & Education:
- High school diploma or (GED or high school equivalence certificate)
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is required (team lead, shift lead, or similar).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or other efficiency-driven methodologies is highly desirable.
Sr Paint Line Lead Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to step into a supervisory role when required.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and management.

- Adaptability and flexibility, including willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Sr Paint Line LeadWork Environment:
- Manufacturing/production floor setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- May involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime to meet production needs.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required per safety guidelines.
