Heavy Assembler Job Summary:
The Heavy Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining large-scale agricultural machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in assembly processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Heavy Assembler Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble heavy agricultural equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and other farming machinery.
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure all systems are functioning properly and meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to guide assembly processes.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete assembly projects within set timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure proper handling of tools and machinery, adhering to safety protocols.
- Work with parts inventory and report shortages or issues with parts to the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
Heavy Assembler Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or (GED or high school equivalence certificate).
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of experience in heavy equipment assembly or a similar mechanical field.
- Familiarity with agriculture machinery is a plus.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools is essential.
Heavy Assembler Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and tracking of inventory.
