What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler position at FIGS ENGINEERING?
Looking to add a Production Assembler/Kitter to our small team.
We manufacture automotive aftermarket products, control arms, tanks, and exhaust products and we take things from flat sheet or laser cut parts to powdercoated assemblies with a focus on details and quality.
If you are organized, great with details, and are a self-starter with a good work ethic, this job may interest you. We focus on taking to time to do things right and looking for a motivated individual who is not afraid to use their creativity, input, and skills to solve problems and build great products.
Tasks include:
- Assemble products with care, including torquing, chasing threads and final packaging for shipment.
- Follow process documents and maintain docs with updated information (revision control.)
- Prepping steel for welding, including blasting, tumbling, or profiling.
- Pulling sheet metal kits and organizing build schedule to serve current orders. This is a make-to-order environment.
- Using a computer to view orders, enter notes, determining build priority.
- Interfacing and communicating with a small team in a dynamic environment.
- Solve problems on the fly and feed corrections back into the process.
- Work in other capacities to help the rest of the team fullfill orders.
- Create, audit, and maintain parts shortage lists.
- Presswork for bushings and bearings into control arms (precise work).
- Potential for CNC operations and manual machining as well as laser engraving.

Pay based on skills and performance with plenty of room to grow.
