Position: Cook
Position Rate: $20.97 per hour
Must be available to start work at 7:30AM to 5:00PM Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus two additional weekdays. The schedule includes two consecutive days off.
Camp Verde Restaurant in Camp Verde, Texas, is a known for its rich history and charming location in the Texas Hill Country. We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, salads or carving meats
- Grill, sauté and fry foods, such as hamburgers, fried chicken or French fries which are prepared to order
- Cook and package batches of food which are kept warm until sold
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils
- Maintain sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards in work areas
- Clean and inspect equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations
- Must be available to start work at 7:30AM to 5:00PM Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus two additional weekdays. The schedule includes two consecutive days off.
Requirements
- Formal or informal education or training that ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance is preferred
- Prior experience in a related food service position is preferred
- Food Handler Certification required
- Occasional 6-day work week due to seasonal or staffing requirements. Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is required.
- Knowledge of methods, equipment and materials as they relate to the type of work being performed.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
- Skilled at managing one's own time.
- Skilled in the monitoring of gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, coworkers or supervisors.
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously; sit occasionally; kneel, stoop, and climb stools/ladders/stairs intermittently to perform the essential functions.
