What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Installation Technician position at FICO - Facility Improvement Corporation?
We’ve got a great installation team in Montana and are expanding our offerings in Missoula, Bozeman, and Kalispell. We’re looking for a Lead Installation Technician that wants to join a rapidly growing, Montana-based company that provides a people-oriented, professional work environment. The position is full time, and dependable year-round. If you’re a skilled tradesman with the desire and ability to lead a team of installers, you might be just the person we’ve been looking for.
Job Role
- Install and, as you grow the team in your area, supervise the installation of building automation systems.
- Work independently and be able to coordinate job installation and completion with FICO personnel as well as other contractors and subcontractors.
- Attend product training classes to develop, maintain and enhance building systems and controls expertise.
- Assist with job commissioning, start-up procedures, and owner training as necessary.
Qualifications
- Ability to organize and direct co-workers
- Ability to work well with building owners and various contractors and vendors
- Highly organized
- Shows pride in workmanship
- Proficient at bending and installing conduit up to 1\" in diameter
- Previous experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems required
- Ability to read blue prints and wiring schematics required
- Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic mathematical and communication skills
- Availability to work overtime, varied shift hours, and out of town as needed
- Ability to pass federal background check
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
