Job Role: Service Technician
FICO is hiring Full Time HVAC Service Technicians to join our team in Montana. We're looking for candidates who are eager, confident, and self-motivated that want to combine technical skills with world-class customer service. Service Technicians are responsible for repair, maintenance, and installing equipment for our customers. The primary focus will be HVAC systems and their controls.
Some of the day-to-day activities and responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support for customers and co-workers
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals and other specifications to determine installation procedures
- Explain and provide detailed system capabilities and operational instructions to customers
- Ensure on-time arrival to daily customer appointments
- Place a high value on quality of workmanship, attention to detail and safe work practices for self and others
- Occasional availability for after hours, weekend, and holiday service response
- Travel as necessary that may require overnight stays
Qualifications
- Current valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Submit to a criminal history check and obtain clearance from the state based on the state requirements
- Place a high value on quality of workmanship, attention to detail and safe work practices for self and others
- Superior customer service skills
- Experience working with little or no supervision
- High sense of personal accountability
- Refrigerant license
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, email and remote communication
- Self-motivated
- Knowledge of HVAC Equipment and Systems with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Ability to use device specific software to properly diagnose equipment
- Ability to use multi-meters and troubleshoot electrical circuits
- Strong ability to diagnose equipment and determine if repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.
