About The Role
Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer specializing in Radar Electromagnetic Warfare Analysis to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical missile defense systems by supporting electromagnetic warfare analysis, modeling, and simulation activities. The successful candidate will work in a classified environment, supporting system survivability and electromagnetic performance evaluations. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, technical expertise in radar and electronic warfare, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. The role involves developing MATLAB-based simulation tools, conducting special studies, and providing technical insights to enhance system resilience against electromagnetic threats.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university, with relevant work experience. Candidates at the Principal Systems Engineer level (Level 3) should have at least 5 years of related experience, while those at the Senior Principal Systems Engineer level (Level 4) should have at least 8 years of experience. Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or PhD are highly regarded and may substitute for some experience. Essential qualifications include experience developing or modifying engineering simulations using MATLAB, familiarity with radar signal processing concepts, and knowledge of electronic attack and protection techniques. Candidates must hold an active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance preferred. Strong analytical skills, experience working in classified environments, and willingness to travel up to 10% are also required. Additional preferred qualifications include modeling radar systems or EW interactions at the I/Q signal level, experience with Simulink, Python, or C/C , and a background in radar system design or EW vulnerability analysis.

- Conduct technical studies related to electromagnetic warfare and radar electromagnetic protection for missile defense systems.
- Develop and utilize MATLAB-based simulations to model radar signal behavior, electronic attack (EA), and electronic protection (EP) techniques.
