Data Visualization & Analytics Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Visualization & Analytics Lead to drive enterprise reporting, dashboard development, and self-service analytics initiatives supporting a modern loan servicing platform. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to transform complex data into meaningful insights that improve operational performance and support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with hands-on expertise in business intelligence, dashboard development, and data visualization. This role requires someone who can translate business questions into scalable reporting solutions while establishing reporting standards, improving data quality, and enabling business users to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Visualization & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or similar BI tools.
- Analyze complex data from multiple systems and data sources to identify trends, performance metrics, and operational insights.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPI/KRI reporting, portfolio analytics, and operational scorecards.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and visually intuitive reporting solutions for business and executive stakeholders.
- Continuously enhance reporting capabilities to support both operational and strategic decision-making.
Dashboard Strategy & Reporting Standards
- Establish enterprise standards and best practices for dashboard design, visualization, and reporting consistency.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure reporting requirements are incorporated into system design and implementation.
- Define scalable reporting architectures that support multiple business functions and future platform growth.
- Support development of operational, compliance, regulatory, and executive reporting.
Business Partnership & Requirements Gathering
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize reporting and analytics requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for Engineering and Data teams.
- Facilitate reporting workshops and requirements sessions across business and technology organizations.
- Ensure reporting requirements are incorporated into Agile backlogs, sprint planning, and release cycles.
Self-Service Analytics
- Develop self-service reporting capabilities that empower business users to independently access and analyze data.
- Create documentation, training materials, and user guides that improve adoption of reporting tools.
- Educate business users on dashboard functionality, reporting capabilities, and data interpretation.
- Promote enterprise data literacy while maintaining reporting governance and data quality standards.
Data Governance & Quality
- Partner with Engineering, Compliance, and Data teams to establish reporting standards and data governance practices.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, lineage, and standardized metric definitions across reporting environments.
- Identify reporting gaps and recommend improvements to data quality and reporting processes.
- Support audit, compliance, regulatory, and operational reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, or Reporting.
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or similar BI platforms.
- Experience analyzing complex datasets from multiple systems and integrating data from various sources.
- Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytics solutions.
- Experience developing KPIs, operational dashboards, executive reporting, and performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard usability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting financial services, mortgage servicing, banking, lending, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and validating data.
- Experience working with APIs, data integration, and enterprise data warehouses.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or other modern analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of Power Query, DAX, Tableau Prep, or similar data transformation tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation, platform modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
