Job Title: Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28273 (office located near Carowinds area)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (primarily onsite; ~50% remote on Fridays based on business needs)

The company owns and operates corporate locations across multiple brands, including RestoPros, Scoop Brothers, and Crawl Space Guardians, with additional franchise locations nationwide. The organization operates with a lean, entrepreneurial structure and a startup-oriented environment focused on scalability and operational efficiency.
Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will support both corporate accounting operations and franchise financial activities, with a heavier emphasis on accounts receivable, including the collection and reconciliation of franchise royalties and licensing fees. This role will be responsible for core accounting functions including AR, AP, and month-end close, while also serving as a key point of contact for franchisees on accounting-related inquiries.
This is a high-visibility role within a growing organization, requiring adaptability, process improvement mindset, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, tracking, and collection of franchise royalties and licensing fees
• Support accounts payable activities, including invoice processing and vendor management
• Execute month-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting
• Respond to franchisee inquiries related to accounting, fees, and financial processes
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting operations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
• Support both corporate accounting functions and franchise-related financial activities (approximately 50/50 split)
• Assist in building scalable accounting processes in a growing, multi-entity environment
Qualifications
• Experience in accounts receivable with exposure to collections and revenue tracking
• Experience supporting month-end close processes
• Familiarity with accounts payable workflows
• Experience using QuickBooks Online
• Ability to operate in a startup or small-company environment with evolving processes
• Strong communication skills, particularly in responding to external stakeholders (e.g., franchisees)
• Process improvement mindset with ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
Environment & Team Structure
• Approximately 20 employees in the office
• Reports to CFO (Teddi) with additional leadership support incoming (Controller expected within 4–6 weeks)
• Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with high visibility across leadership
