What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Aided Design Operator position at Ferretti Search?
Ferretti Search is delighted to partner with a growing organization supporting large-scale network expansion projects to locate their next CAD Operator.
Location: Reynoldsburg/ Pataskala area
Compensation: $50,000–$58,000 base salary (dependent on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (can be flexible)

What will your day look like?
- CAD Production & Design Support: Develop and revise CAD drawings for aerial and underground routes, including splice locations, cabinets, handholes, conduit systems, and pole attachments
- Construction Documentation: Prepare construction-ready plan sets, legends, notes, bills of materials, plan-and-profile sheets, and as-built updates
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to resolve design conflicts, interpret field data, and ensure constructability
Who are you?
- Drafting Background: 1–3 years of CAD drafting experience; exposure to network or utility-related projects preferred
- Technical Skillset: Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with the ability to interpret engineering concepts, GIS data, survey information, and utility records
- Detail-Oriented Professional: Strong attention to accuracy, drawing standards, version control, and quality control in a fast-paced environment
