Part-Time Bookkeeper
About the Position
As a valued member of the Ferrari-Lund Real Estate team, the Part-Time Bookkeeper supports the day-to-day financial operations of the company with accuracy and attention to detail. This role is responsible for maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, assisting with core accounting functions, and ensuring transactions are processed efficiently and correctly.
Working both independently and in coordination with leadership and the accounting team, this position focuses on routine bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and data entry. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
- Assist with journal entries and basic general ledger maintenance
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end processes by preparing reports and organizing financial data
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and manage timely payments
- Prepare and send invoices as needed
- Apply incoming payments and assist with account reconciliation
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with follow-up on past-due accounts
- Assist with 1099 tracking and preparation
Operational Support
- Assist with tracking expenses and maintaining cost records
- Support payroll processing coordination as needed
- Help prepare documentation for audits, tax filings, and year-end reporting
- Maintain accuracy within systems such as QuickBooks and Real Estate Accounting Programs
- Assist with general administrative accounting tasks as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, GSuite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- High level of integrity when handling confidential financial information
