Role Summary
The District Math Coach (DMC) serves as a vital bridge between district numeracy goals and daily classroom instruction. Working closely with the Math Content Manager, you will support teachers through coaching, modeling, and deep-dive data analysis. You will help teachers design units that challenge students while providing the necessary scaffolding to meet every learner's needs. This is a role for an instructional leader who knows how to make high-level math concepts accessible, engaging, and equitable for all.

- Advanced Expertise: You hold a Master’s Degree in Education with at least 3 years of successful experience in math instruction.
- Certified Specialist: You possess valid Missouri Certification with an endorsement in Elementary K-6, 5-9 Math, or 9-12 Mathematics.
- Adult Learning Advocate: You have a proven track record of working with adult learners, including experience in coaching, designing, and facilitating professional development.

Your Impact (Key Duties)
- Maintain Curricular Integrity: Build teacher capacity to deliver high-quality math materials, ensuring students engage with grade-level rigor and complex problem-solving.
- Student-Centered Coaching: Improve student numeracy through professional development, modeling best practices in the classroom, and collaborative lesson planning.
- Evidence-Based Methodologies: Share and implement instructional strategies that move beyond rote memorization toward deep conceptual understanding.
- Data-Driven Intervention: Understand, evaluate, and share numeracy data in collaboration with the Content Manager to modify curriculum and assessments.
- MTSS Implementation: Apply Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) practices to help teachers and specialists use adaptive teaching and interventions for a diverse group of scholars.
- Strategic Communication: Work closely with the Math Content Manager to ensure all district math initiatives and mandates are implemented with excellence.
