- Package finished material according to customer specifications and package codes
- Safely move material to packaging areas using conveyors, cranes, or other equipment Inspect material for proper packaging requirements and visible quality issues before packaging
- Assist with blocking, wrapping, and banding of material to ensure secure and compliant packaging
- Use gantry crane and lifting equipment when required for packaging operations
- Coordinate with crane operators to move material in and out of packaging areas
- Maintain packaging line organization by keeping areas clear of unnecessary equipment and materials
- Monitor packaged material to ensure it meets customer and company quality standards
- Identify and report any quality defects or nonconforming material
- Follow all safety procedures when handling material and operating equipment
- Perform daily inspection of equipment as required and report unsafe conditions
- Complete assigned tasks while maintaining efficiency and production flow
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing scrap, bands, boards, and waste
- Handle tools and equipment properly and store them safely after us
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to teamwork
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging and quality
- Ability to safely operate or assist with cranes and material handling equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to recognize quality issues and report discrepancies
