Election Clerk
FedTec is seeking detail-oriented and dependable Election Clerks to support election operations in Sacramento County. This is a temporary, on-site position ideal for individuals who are organized, punctual, and committed to ensuring a smooth and accurate election process.
Location: Sacramento, CA (100% onsite)
Job Type: Temporary (4 weeks)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing and organizing ballots, envelopes, and voter files.
- Support signature verification, ballot extraction, and ballot duplication tasks.
- Provide clerical support including filing, data entry, and document verification.
- Assist voters in person at front counters with registration, ballot reissues, and general inquiries.
- Answer voter questions via phone or in person, providing accurate, neutral information on registration, Vote Centers, and ballot processes.
- Maintain election materials, records, and chain-of-custody documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Work in teams or independently depending on assignment, and follow supervisor instructions closely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail; accuracy is critical in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and clerical skills.
- Ability to remain neutral, professional, and courteous at all times.
- Willingness to work long hours (including evenings and weekends) during election periods.
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or English/Vietnamese highly desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods may be required for some assignments.
- Prior clerical, customer service, or document handling experience a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.30 per hour
